On 30 April, the Department of Hospital Therapy of Dagestan State Medical University hosted a clinical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War on the basis of the A.V. Vishnevsky Republican Clinical Hospital of the Republic of Dagestan.
A special highlight of the event was a meeting with a participant of the Special Military Operation (SMO) who was treated at the A.V. Vishnevsky Republican Clinical Hospital. He told how things were at the front. The conference participants, in turn, encouraged him with words of encouragement and medical recommendations to improve his quality of life.
On behalf of the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, Professor of the Department of Hospital Therapy Suleiman Mammaev greeted the conference participants and the hero. He expressed his deep gratitude to the hero, wished him good health, speedy recovery and return to his family. He stressed that at all times it was courageous and selfless people who stood in defence of the Motherland: ‘Thanks to the brave defenders of the Fatherland, May 9 will forever remain a sacred holiday for us — Victory Day. As once the entire multinational people of the Soviet Union gathered in a single fist, rose up and crushed the fascist army, so today we see the strength of spirit and unity of the people. There is not a single family that was bypassed by that war. And the grandchildren of those heroes are also on the front line today.
Acting Head of the Department, Associate Professor Jamila Omarova once again recalled the heroism of the participants of the Great Patriotic War and modern defenders of the Motherland. She also spoke about the work of the Dagestan Medical Institute during the war years, particularly the therapists who headed the department at different times. ‘Prof F.R. Borodulin, rector of the.
Dagestan Medical Institute, the founder and first head
Department of Hospital Therapy, a participant of military operations. A front-line veteran is Professor Masuev Askandar Masuevich, with whom some of those present were fortunate enough to work. At the front line, in hospitals and hospitals worked Associate Professor Nikolay Filaretovich Mordvinkin, Professor Gadzhiev Khairudin Efendievich. All of them we remember in these days’.
Students of the 6th year also did not stay aside, they expressed very emotionally
words of gratitude to the war heroes and participants of the WWII in poems: Pirbaymatova Zulfiya ‘Wait for me and I will return’ by K.Simonov, and Gaibulatov Murtazali noted in his author’s poem ‘Heroes are only those who have no fear … They are honoured always and everywhere’.
The conference was an important reminder of the continuity of generations and the heroism of doctors and soldiers — both those who fought in the Great Patriotic War and those who today continue to defend the Motherland.
