Dialogue on an equal footing with a dentist

A significant meeting organized by the Volunteer Center of the Dagestan State Medical University took place in the lecture hall of the Biological Building of Dagestan State Medical University. Within the framework of the Dialogue on Equal Terms project, the topic was «Autotransplantation of a tooth: from a clinical idea to a practical result.« Asiyat Tagirova, an experienced dentist and lecturer at the Department of Surgical Dentistry of the Moscow State Medical University, acted as a key speaker. Throughout the event, she analyzed in detail various clinical cases from her own extensive practice, focusing on nuances that are not always covered in textbooks. The meeting was accompanied by an active discussion between the students and the guest, during which the youth received comprehensive and reasoned answers to all their questions. Future specialists analyzed modern planning protocols and surgical techniques for autotransplantation of a tooth, and also discussed in detail the key factors influencing the long-term prognosis of treatment and the success of the clinical outcome. Special attention was paid to the interdisciplinary approach and the possibility of using this method in different age groups, which emphasizes its relevance in modern dentistry.

For all participants, this event was not just a lecture, but a valuable experience after a busy academic week. The participants expressed their sincere gratitude to the expert for the fascinating and informative conversation, during which dry theory was organically intertwined with live questions and real cases, which made it possible to better consolidate the acquired knowledge and skills. «Your enthusiasm and desire for knowledge are the key to the successful future of Russian dentistry!» were the parting words that inspired the students to further professional achievements.
