On 12 July 2024, in the conference hall of Dagestan State Medical University, the university management met with representatives of the Central Clinical Hospital ‘RR-Medicine’.

The main item on the agenda was the discussion of the creation of a new department on the basis of ‘RR-Medicine’, which will provide students and residents of DSMU with excellent opportunities for practice. The questions of formation of personnel reserve for ‘RZD-Medicine’ from among the graduates of the university were considered. They also discussed the issue of target training in the direction of ‘RR-Medicine’.

The meeting was attended by Rector Visampasha Khanaliev, Director of the Institute of Further Professional Education Rafik Butaev, Vice-Rector for Medical Work Magomed Khamidov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Economic Activities Sirajitin Mutuev, Head of Educational and Methodological Department Gaidin Gadzhiev.

Central Clinical Hospital ‘Russian Railways-Medicine’ were present: Deputy Head — Head of the Health Care Department for the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts Fedor Benya, Head of the Medical Activities Department Natalia Kostenko, Head of the Project Activities Department Pyotr Kostachev.

The meeting was also attended by assistants of State Duma deputy Biisultan Khamzaev: Temirlan Akayev, Sirazhdinov Alibeg, Bagaudin Puchumagomedov, Naira Gajimagomedova.

The RZD-Medicine network is a major part of Russia’s national healthcare system, which includes 360 hospitals and polyclinics in 71 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. They provide a full range of medical services from initial patient reception to complex surgical interventions and rehabilitation.

Natalia Kostenko spoke about the RR-Medicine network. She also informed about the launch of the project ‘Health Train’ — a mobile polyclinic, which will be travelling across the regions of Russia.

Natalia Kostenko emphasised the readiness of ‘Russian Railways-Medicine’ to provide quotas for targeted training of DSMU students with subsequent employment.

Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev noted the importance of creating the necessary conditions for students to study at RZD-Medicine, including equipment and premises.

The parties discussed the possibility of concluding a co-operation agreement.

Temirlan Akayev conveyed words of greetings from State Duma deputy Biysultan Khamzaev, who initiated the meeting. He emphasised the importance of RR-Medicine development in Dagestan and the high level of DSMU.

The meeting was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere. The participants expressed confidence in successful development of co-operation between DSMU and ‘Russian Railways-Medicine’.
