On November 26–28, 2025, Dagestan State Medical University took part in the V Congress of Young Scientists, which was held at the Sirius Science and Technology University.

 The Congress became a key federal platform for the exchange of scientific experience, the presentation of research, and the discussion of strategic challenges in modern science. The delegation from DSMU included Naida Mollaeva, Vice-Rector for Research, and Naida Abdullaeva, Director of the DSMU Research and Education Center.

The program of the anniversary forum was built around the priorities of the Strategy for the Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation and covered such areas as:

• fundamental research,
• technological entrepreneurship,
• international scientific cooperation,
• popularization of science,
• formation of human resources and future competencies,
• grants and projects.

The participants paid special attention to the discussion sessions and exhibition stands dedicated to technological sovereignty, health preservation, artificial intelligence, as well as the development of scientific schools and career paths for young researchers.

DGMU representatives attended the following sessions with particular interest:

“Artificial Intelligence: A Scientist’s Tool or a New Driver of Scientific Progress?”

“Strategic Partnership and Competition between University and Academic Science: Where to Realize the Potential of a Young Scientist?”

“A Doctor in the Era of Transformations: Competencies and Continuous Education to Meet the Challenges of the Time”

“The Scientific and Demographic Potential of a Student Family is the Foundation for the Country’s Future”

“Science in 10 Minutes: Presentation of the RNF’s Youth Projects”

Participation in the Congress was a valuable experience for DSMU: professional connections were expanded, scientific dialogue was enriched, and the university received an up-to-date impetus for the development of its grant, research, and educational activities.

The Congress was an important milestone in strengthening DSMU’s scientific positioning at the federal level. The knowledge gained, new contacts established, and trends identified will serve as the foundation for strategic planning of the university’s research and educational activities, particularly in the context of training a new generation of professionals capable of meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
