DSMU discussed current issues in medicine and pharmacy

On June 11, Dagestan State Medical University hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference «Actual Problems of Modern Medicine and Pharmacy.» The event was dedicated to the Day of the Pharmaceutical Worker and the 85th anniversary of the first Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, chief freelance specialist of clinical pharmacologist Tinav Magomedovich Abdurakhmanov.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, E.A. Akhmedova. She emphasized the importance of the conference for the development of the university’s scientific potential and congratulated the attendees on their professional holiday. The conference was attended by staff and students from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Department, as well as invited guests, including representatives of the medical community and others

During the conference, awards were presented. Associate Professors of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, T.M. Abdurakhmanov and E.N. Agaeva, were awarded certificates of honor by the Dagestan Republican Organization of the Union of Healthcare Workers of the Russian Federation for their many years of work, professionalism, and contribution to healthcare. The plenary session featured presentations on current issues in medicine and pharmacy. At the end of the conference, the results were summarized and directions for further research were identified.
