On July 4, Dagestan State Medical University hosted a graduation ceremony for graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, marking the beginning of a professional career for 611 young specialists.

The event, which took place in a festive atmosphere, opened with the sound of the anthems of the Russian Federation and the DSMU. The graduation in 2025 was the 88th in the history of the faculty, joining the ranks of the medical community with qualified personnel. The university was particularly proud of 117 graduates who received diplomas with honors, among whom 6 were international students.

This year, diplomas were awarded not only to Russian citizens, but also to representatives of various countries of the world who studied at DSMU in the programs of the preparatory department, medical practice, dentistry, preventive medicine and residency. Among them are students from Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali, Nepal, Peru, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan, South Sudan, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Georgia, Egypt, India, Jordan, Namibia, Nigeria, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

The rector of DSMU, Professor Visampasha Khanaliev, addressed the graduates with parting words: «Today is a special day – the day when we accompany graduates of the Faculty of Medicine of Dagestan State Medical University into a great professional life! Dear graduates, I congratulate you on your successful graduation from one of the most challenging and noble faculties of our university. A new one awaits you, full of responsibility and new challenges. Remember that the title of doctor is not only prestige, but also a huge responsibility for the life and health of every patient. Be merciful, attentive, constantly improve your knowledge and skills, do not be afraid of difficulties and always strive for new heights in medicine.» He also stressed the importance of the medical profession, noting its humanity and nobility, and wished graduates success, achievements and the gratitude of patients.»

The rector expressed special gratitude to the teachers and parents, whose contribution to the development of young doctors is difficult to overestimate. He noted their professionalism, dedication, patience, understanding and boundless support.

The festive mood of the ceremony was supported by a concert program prepared by activists of the DSMU Cultural Center. Samira Ramazanova and Daniyal Shabanov performed the song «Russia» and other musical compositions, creating an atmosphere of solemnity and unity.

Ibragim Magomedov, Chairman of the State Committee for Medical Sciences, and Gadzhimurad Dalgatov, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, joined in the congratulations, wishing the graduates inexhaustible energy in achieving their goals, self-confidence and successful realization of their professional potential for the benefit of society.

In their response, the graduates expressed their sincere gratitude to their parents, teachers and the university administration for the knowledge, support and inspiration they received, which became a reliable foundation for their further professional growth. They promised to honorably bear the title of DSMU graduate and make every effort to develop domestic healthcare.
