DSMU students became the champions of Makhachkala in beach volleyball

Last weekend, the city beach of Makhachkala hosted the Men’s and women’s Beach volleyball Championships and championships dedicated to Russia Day. And the female students of Dagestan State Medical University won the first place in the women’s tournament!

The event began with a morning workout with the champion, which was attended by the fighters of the SVO. The exercise was conducted by the directors of Makhachkala sports schools Magomed Magomedov and Ramadan Magomedov. After charging, the participants unfurled the Russian flag and sang the national anthem.

The guests of honor of the holiday were Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan Kamil Saidov, head of Makhachkala Yusup Umavov, Deputy head of the capital Elmira Radjabova, head of the Department of Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the city Murad Mirzagadzhiev, participants of the SVR, deputies of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, public and political figures, as well as famous athletes.

Next, the beach volleyball championship itself started. DSMU in the tournament among women were represented by students of the Faculty of Pediatrics: Aisha Gulmetova (603 group) and Aina Dalgatova (508 group). The girls showed an excellent game, winning three victories in a row. In the finals they were opposed by the team from Kaspiysk, but the students of DSMU confidently snatched victory, demonstrating skill and team spirit!
