On September 19, in the conference hall of the 9-storey building of Dagestan State Medical University, a preventive conversation took place with university students on the topic: «Some methods and means of recruiting young people by terrorists and extremists and using them for their own purposes»

The meeting was opened by Vice-rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work of DSMU Amurbek Kachabekov, who, on behalf of the rector of the University, Visampasha Khanaliev, welcomed students, colleagues, and guests and stressed the importance of informing students on this topic in order to combat destructive information attacks in social networks, including those aimed at undermining interethnic and interfaith relations. He also noted the need to form a critical attitude to the information received, urged not to trust information from unverified sources and emphasized the role of the younger generation in shaping a worldview based on rejection of violence, respect for human life and spiritual values.

Gadzhi Abdulaev, an employee of the E Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District, Timur Mammadov, an employee of the Central Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, and Arsen Aigumov, a specialist in the Department for Work with Students, took part in the conversation.

The guests informed the students in detail about the responsibility for violating public order: they talked about how young people most often become agents of an ideology that is alien and extremely dangerous to the integrity of society, spread mainly through social networks by terrorists and extremists, without even suspecting that they are being recruited; what means and methods are used for this.; on responsibility for committing terrorist and extremist acts, including those related to the desire to influence public opinion through disinformation, the dissemination of fake information on social networks, and others.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual trust, openness and dialogue. The students actively participated in the discussion of the topic and asked their questions.
