The Andijan State Medical Institute hosted the II International Olympiad in Anatomy and Histology entitled ‘Celebration of Morphology’ dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Institute.

The Olympiad was attended by 10 teams formed from students of medical universities of Uzbekistan, as well as Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Among them was a team from Dagestan State Medical University. During two days, the participants demonstrated their theoretical and practical knowledge, which was evaluated by 14 leading morphologists from foreign countries.

At the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Olympiad Rector of the Institute M. Madazimov warmly congratulated all the participants: ‘Dear participants, your participation in such an Olympiad as this is a great achievement. It has become a wide platform for testing your knowledge and capabilities. The main thing is faith, knowledge and action, and you have chosen this path. Regardless of today’s results, I wish you to conquer even higher heights in the future’, — said the Rector.

Then the winners were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts. Three teams won the first place at once:

International students of Andijan State Medical Institute,

Dagestan State Medical University,

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
