DSMU took part in emergency response after flooding in Khushet

Dagestan State Medical University took an active part in eliminating the consequences of the emergency situation after flooding in the village of Khushet. To help the residents, a large—scale visit of DSMU volunteers was organized — a total of 800 people, including 300 employees and 500 students under the leadership of Rector Visampashi Khanaliev. The participants of the trip worked in the most affected areas: they cleaned yards and house territories, helped to clean rooms from silt in houses, vacated rooms, took out damaged and old furniture, cleared streets, carried out primary sanitary cleaning and preparation of premises for further restoration. The rector of DSMU, Visampasha Khanaliev, worked at the site, who, together with the university staff, took part in coordinating and organizing the work. Hibi Aliyev, Chairman of the Makhachkala City Assembly of Deputies, also participated in the events: he personally joined the cleaning and facilitated interaction with local services. Ismail Mammadov, the head of the village of Khushet, and Muslim Amirarslanov, a deputy of the City Assembly from Khushet, actively assisted in the work and in resolving emerging issues. They provided the necessary support on the spot. The Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as the Dagestan Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross and other relevant structures provided assistance in organizing cleaning and work on the flooded areas.
