As part of the «Welcome to the Village» project, Burliyat Abusueva, Head of the Department of Nervous Diseases, Medical Genetics, and Neurosurgery, and activists from the Dagestan State Medical University’s Volunteer Center visited the Central District Hospital and the Almalo Rural Health Center, which became centers of attraction for residents in need of high-quality medical consultations for two days. The main goal of the field event was to make highly specialized medical care more accessible to residents of remote areas and to strengthen preventive measures in the field. Professor Abusueva not only conducted detailed examinations of patients with complex pathologies, but also shared her unique clinical experience with her junior colleagues, turning each case into a valuable practical lesson.

During the campaign, special attention was paid to the youngest residents of the district. A team of volunteers, led by a pediatrician, conducted routine check-ups on the children, assessing their health and providing necessary recommendations to their parents on childcare and disease prevention. This comprehensive approach ensured that all age groups were covered by medical services. Under the guidance of a mentor, the volunteers performed initial diagnostics, including measuring blood pressure, thoroughly collecting medical histories, and assisting in the flow of patients. Additionally, «Health Schools» were established, where residents were educated about the importance of self-monitoring and taking care of their health. For DGMU students, such trips are not just practice, but a deep immersion in the social significance of the chosen path. Direct communication with villagers allows medical students to develop empathy and clinical thinking in real-life conditions. For the villagers themselves, the visit of the volunteer team led by Burliyat Abusueva was a rare opportunity to receive answers to their pressing health issues without leaving the district. The «Good to the Village» project has once again proven that a sincere desire to help and professional knowledge can overcome any distance. Through the combined efforts of teachers and students, medical care is becoming closer and more accessible to those who need it most.
