Foreign students of DSMU won the Cup of the head of Makhachkala

The sports festival «Friendship» for the Cup of the head of Makhachkala among foreign students of universities of our republic was held on April 26, 2026 at the sports complex of the Dagestan State Medical University. As part of the event organized by the city administration, foreign students of Dagestan universities competed in badminton, table tennis, drafts, long jump, tug of war, pillow fight, relay race and futsal.

The festival was attended by teams from Dagestan State Medical University, Dagestan State Technical University, Dagestan State Pedagogical University, Dagestan State University, Dagestan State University of National Economy and Dagestan State Agrarian University.

The DSMU team was represented by 33 students and received the main prize — the Cup of the head of Makhachkala for winning the overall team competition. Our international students have won prizes in the following sports:

Badminton: I place — Waleed Khan, Sirajudin Jaasir Ahmed, Sampathi Shivani and Tiwari Yamini (all — India).

Table tennis: I place — Ganizhonov Sultonbek (Uzbekistan), Chakmak Fatma (Turkey), II place — Sultonbekov Bekzodbek (Uzbekistan), III place — Kathait Priyanshi (India).

Long jump: I place — Vayila Madhumohan Reddy (India), II place — Al Horani Sara (Syria).

Game relay — II place — Kapoor Pranavanshulendraditya, Baghel Aaditya Singh, Aman, Farhin, Soni Nandani, Shaik Kusum Sania (all — India).

Checkers: II place — Vani Khadika (India).

The students demonstrated not only athletic skills, but also a competitive spirit and excellent training. The competition was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, becoming a real holiday of sports and international cooperation.
