On January 26, the Annual FORTIS Ball, a solemn event dedicated to summarizing the activities of the university’s youth and student organizations over the past year, was held at the Innovation Center of Dagestan State Medical University. This event became a significant milestone in the social life of DSMU, bringing together the university’s administration, representatives of youth organizations, student activists, and invited guests, including Zumrud Buchaeva, Chair of the Dagestan Republican Organization of the Russian Federation Trade Union of Healthcare Workers.

The ball was opened by the Rector of the DSMU, Visampasha Khanaliev, who congratulated everyone on the Day of Russian Students: «This holiday is a bright symbol of youth, energy, and boundless hopes. It is especially close to us because the future of Russian medicine, science, our native Dagestan, and the entire country lives and breathes within these walls. Today, we have gathered at this solemn ceremony not just to celebrate the holiday. We are here to see, appreciate, and reward the best achievements of our student organizations. You, our active, talented and enterprising students, are the real driver of university life. You are not only gnawing at the granite of medical science, but also creating a special atmosphere of creativity, mutual assistance and social responsibility around you. Your volunteer projects, academic circles, sports victories, and cultural initiatives are what make our university a vibrant, modern, and truly strong community. I would like to express my sincere gratitude and admiration to all the activists, leaders, and all participants of student associations. Your energy and dedication deserve the highest praise. Special words of gratitude to our mentors, curators, who wisely and patiently direct your bubbling energy in a constructive way. On this festive day, I wish each of you an unextinguishable fire in your eyes, an inexhaustible thirst for knowledge, bold ideas, and, of course, good health! The central event of the program was the solemn award ceremony. Visampasha Yusupovich presented awards to the chairmen of youth organizations. Zumrud Buchaeva also congratulated the activists on behalf of the Dagestan Republican Trade Union of Health Workers. The festive atmosphere of the ball was complemented by a concert program prepared by the DSMU Cultural Center. The final stage of the program was the cutting of a festive cake on stage. The event concluded with a final speech by the Rector of DSMU, Visampasha Khanaliyev.
