Today, on the 3rd of July, in the assembly hall of the biological building of the Dagestan State Medical University the diploma awarding 87 th ceremony of graduating General Medicine Faculty was held. Graduates received long-awaited and deserved diplomas confirming the experience and qualification of doctors.

The event was attended by: Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Gadzhimurad Dalgatov, assistant deans, teachers and other honoured guests.

The ceremony was opened by the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev. He addressed the audience with a welcoming speech:

«Dear graduates of the Faculty of Medicine of Dagestan State Medical University!

I congratulate you on this important event in your life — graduation from university! Today you are standing on the threshold of a new, responsible and extremely important road — the road of professional medicine. Your hard work and perseverance, your sleepless nights and aspiration for knowledge have led you to this significant day.

First of all, I would like to express my pride and admiration for your achievement. You have become doctors — guardians of health and life, people on whom human destinies depend. Your choice of profession is a choice of noble service to people, and few dare to take this difficult but so important path.

During these years you have not only mastered profound medical knowledge, but also learnt the most important human qualities: compassion, patience, responsibility and attentiveness to each patient. These qualities will be your guiding stars in your future work.

Today you have a wide horizon of opportunities open before you — practice in the best medical centres, scientific research, new discoveries. May each of you find your way, your niche in the vast world of medicine and reach new heights.

I would like to wish you, dear graduates, good health, inexhaustible energy and optimism. May every day be filled with the light of knowledge, good deeds and grateful smiles of your patients. May your dreams become a reality, and your professional achievements become your pride and joy.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Gadzhimurad Dalgatov also addressed words of congratulations to the graduates. He wished the young colleagues success and implementation of all plans, and most importantly — to reach heights in the difficult, but very important and honourable profession of a doctor.

Other guests also addressed the audience with words of encouragement. They expressed confidence that each of those present has a wonderful path ahead of them, as they are young, energetic, enthusiastic and only success awaits them.

Then the graduation ceremony took place — the most significant and exciting moment for every graduate, it is one of the most exciting events in the life of a recent student and now a graduate. It is the bright and solemn moment that everyone is waiting for during the long years of study. In the current year 2024, 587 students of the Medical Faculty received diplomas of graduates of the Medical University. Of them — 117 graduates on target admission.

Traditionally, the first to receive diplomas were graduates who graduated from the Medical University with honours. According to the results of the state final attestation in 2024, 98 graduates of the medical faculty received red diplomas, 51 graduates — foreigners, of which two received «red» diplomas.

After awarding diplomas, the graduates solemnly swore the oath of a doctor of the Russian Federation. The event ended with a photo session as a souvenir.
