On the 4th of July in the assembly hall of Dagestan State Medical University a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to the graduates of pharmaceutical and medical-preventive faculties took place.

The event was attended by: Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Gasbulla Barkaev, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Preventive Medicine Hajimurad Dalgatov, assistant deans, teachers and other honoured guests.

The solemn event was opened with a farewell speech to the graduates of the two faculties by the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev:

«Dear graduates of the Pharmaceutical and Medical-Preventive Faculties of Dagestan State Medical University!

Today is your day, the day when each of you will proudly and with dignity raise your diploma, which symbolises the summit of a long and difficult journey. Let this moment be the beginning of a new chapter in your life, a chapter filled with success and joy.

You have taken the most important step by choosing a profession that requires not only knowledge, but also boundless love for people, high responsibility and an insatiable desire for development. Each of you is a true hero, ready to devote yourselves to the cause of saving and improving the nation’s health.

Graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy, you have become custodians of knowledge about medicines that can alleviate suffering, restore health and give hope. Your responsibility is enormous, because the health and well-being of patients depend on the accuracy, professionalism and care of each of you. Your talent, diligence and commitment to innovation are helping to build a healthy future for all of us.

Graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Preventive Medicine, you are the guardians of public health. You carry the knowledge of how to maintain health, prevent disease and create conditions for the well-being of society. Your mission is to educate, prevent and protect, and the quality of life of many people depends on your expertise.

Each of you has unique abilities and invaluable knowledge that you have accumulated through years of hard work and study. You have gone through many trials, overcome obstacles and emerged victorious. May your faith in your own strength never wane, and your desire to bring light and health to people become your guide.

Our university is proud of you, and we believe in your great future. Our country needs such dedicated and talented specialists as you are. Let your names become symbols of professionalism and humanity.

May your every step be surrounded by support, respect and gratitude of those whom you can help. May your work bring you only joy!», said Visampasha Khanaliev in his speech.

Gasbulla Barkayev and Gajimurad Dalgatov, deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Medicine and Preventive Medicine, also congratulated the graduates on their successful graduation.

Then the diploma awarding ceremony took place. 27 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Preventive Medicine received a document of higher education; two of them — two graduates under the agreement on targeted training. The goal of young specialists is to protect tens of thousands of people from epidemics, to ensure sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population.

Diplomas of graduation from the Faculty of Pharmacy were awarded to 37 graduates, three of whom received diplomas with honours. Two graduates studied under a special-purpose contract.

After awarding diplomas there was a solemn oath taking ceremony of a doctor of the Russian Federation. The graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy pronounced the oath of a Provisioner of the Russian Federation.

The graduates expressed their gratitude to the administration of DGMU, personally to the rector Professor V.Y. Khanaliev, to all teachers for the opportunity to study and gain knowledge, for comfortable learning conditions, for the possibility of all-round development during the years of stay in the walls.
