International Congress of Orthopedic Traumatologists «Kemikeklem 2021»

In order to implement Cooperation Agreements with universities and medical institutions of the Republic of Turkey, DSMU took part in the International Congress, which was held in Bodrum, Turkey from October 13 to 16, 2021.

The Congress was organized by the Association of Traumatologists and Orthopedists of the Republic of Turkey, Chairman Professor Vedat Shahin. The congress was attended by specialists from Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. The four days of the congress were full of reports and speeches on topical topics in traumatology and orthopedics, meetings were held in parallel in 2 large halls in Turkish, simultaneous translation from Turkish into English was organized.

Dagestan State Medical University was presented at the congress by the head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics, chief freelance traumatologist-orthopedist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan, Professor Alevdin Ataev. He made a presentation in English on the topic: «Possibilities of out-of-focus osteosynthesis according to Ilizarov in the treatment of gunshot fractures of long limb bones». The report aroused the interest of fellow traumatologists, which resulted in a productive and useful discussion.

On the last day of the congress, the Chairman of the Association of Traumatologists and Orthopedists of Turkey, Professor Vedat Shahin held a round table with representatives of all delegations, where everyone was given the opportunity to speak and make suggestions and wishes about the possibility of further cooperation on topical issues of traumatology and orthopedics.
