On June 17, the sports club of Dagestan State Medical University hosted the annual cricket tournament among international students from India, organized as part of the international department’s work plan. It should be noted that this type of sports game is popular among students from India, as it is a national sport in their country. The tournament was organized by the International Department of DSMU.

The purpose of the tournament is to promote a healthy lifestyle, involve students in systematic physical education, promote health through competitions, foster a sense of teamwork, camaraderie, mutual assistance, and a healthy competitive spirit. In total, 2 teams took part in the tournament, each with 11 players. The team championship was determined by the highest score of the best results.

In a hard-fought and interesting fight at the end of the tournament, the DSMU Wonders team took 1st place. The second place is «DSMU Thunder». The winning team and the winners of the tournament were awarded with a cup and medals. Special thanks went to the fans for the incredible support they showed during the tournament! Their energy, emotions and dedication have incredibly inspired the teams on the court! Thank you to everyone for your worries, for the screams, for every second. Congratulations to the guys and we are proud of their sporting successes and wish them great achievements in sports and studies!
