On June 30, a regular meeting of the Academic Council was held in the administrative building of Dagestan State Medical University. The event was opened and led by the rector of DSMU, chairman of the Council Visampasha Khanaliev.

Before the discussion of the agenda, Visampasha Khanaliev presented awards to the staff of the DSMU in honor of the celebration of the Day of the Medical Worker. The award ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the rector of DSMU: «Over the years, you have been an example of professionalism, dedication and boundless dedication. Your knowledge, experience and wisdom have earned you well-deserved authority and respect among colleagues and students. Thanks to your efforts and talent, the university has achieved significant success in training highly qualified specialists in various fields of medicine. Please accept my sincere gratitude and wishes of good health and well-being to everyone!»

The staff of DSMU received awards from the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan, the National Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan, as well as commendations and certificates of honor from Dagestan State Medical University. The awarding ceremony was attended by the chairman of the Dagestan Organization of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the Russian Federation, Zumrud Buchaeva, who also delivered a welcoming speech. Awards were also presented from the Dagestan Organization of the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the Russian Federation.

There were four issues on the agenda: competitive affairs; reports of the chairmen of the State Committee for the Specialties «Medical Care», «Pediatrics», «Dentistry», «Pharmacy» and «Medical and Preventive Medicine»; the results of the workload for the 2024-2025 academic year and the planned calculation of hours for the 2025-2026 academic year; miscellaneous.

Svetlana Mineeva, Secretary of the competition committee, spoke about the candidates being elected to various positions at the university.

The chairmen of the СEC made reports on the results of the state final certification of graduates: Ibragim Magomedov, Head of the Surgery Department of the Republican Clinical Hospital No. 2 (Chairman of the СEC in the specialty «Medical Science»), Rafik Magomedov, Chief Physician of the Children’s City Clinical Hospital (Chairman of the СEC in the specialty «Pediatrics»), Murad Chavtaraev, Chief physician of the Dental Clinic No. 1 (Chairman of the State Committee on Dentistry), Raisat Arbukhanova, Head of the Department for the Supervision of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases of the Rospotrebnadzor Department for the Republic of Dagestan (Chairman of the State Committee for the Prevention of Diseases), Musa Abdulaev, Head of the Pharmacy Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan (Chairman of the State Committee for the Prevention of Diseases).

They talked about how the SFE (State Federal Examination) was held, familiarized those present with its results and made suggestions for improving the quality of graduate training.

Gaidin Hajiyev, head of the Educational and Methodological Department, spoke about the results of the academic workload for the 2024-2025 academic year and the planned calculation of hours for the 2025-2026 academic year.

In the Miscellaneous section, current issues that were not included in the main agenda were discussed, as well as plans for the upcoming new academic year.

In conclusion, Rector Visampasha Khanaliev thanked the participants of the meeting for their productive work and stressed that the decisions taken would contribute to the further development of the university and improve the quality of medical education. The head of the university also wished everyone a good rest.

The work of the Council was organized by the Scientific Secretary of the Academic Council, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Pediatric, Dental and Preventive Medicine Faculties Asiyat Esedova.
