A meeting with foreign students from India was held at the Dagestan State Medical University, organized at the request of the Indian Embassy in the Russian Federation. The event aimed to establish an open dialogue with the students and discuss their conditions of study and accommodation at the university and in the region. The meeting was attended by Seda Sharapudinova, Senior Lieutenant of Police, Inspector of the Department of Juvenile Affairs of the Soviet District of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Makhachkala; Ruslan Kelbihanov, Senior Lieutenant of Police, Inspector of the Department of Juvenile Affairs; Gudibir Gudibirov, Lieutenant of Police, Chief of the Department of Internal Affairs and Juvenile Affairs; Artur Agalarhanov, Assistant Chief of the Department of Security at the Dagestan State Medical University; and Raisat Kurbanova, Head of the International Department. The main purpose of the meeting was to find out how comfortable the Indian students feel and whether they have any difficulties or issues that require additional attention from the university and relevant services. During the live and confidential communication, students noted that they felt calm and safe at the university. According to them, the educational process was organized at a high level, and they did not encounter any aggressive or inappropriate behavior from their professors, fellow students, or the city’s residents. On the contrary, the students emphasized the friendly atmosphere and support they received in the educational environment. Representatives from the university and law enforcement agencies provided detailed explanations to the students about safety measures, the specific requirements for foreign citizens, and the available communication channels in case of any questions or complex situations. Special attention was paid to issues of personal safety, adaptation, and intercultural interaction. Such meetings contribute to strengthening mutual understanding, creating a comfortable educational environment, and promoting international cooperation.
