On Thursday, November 6, 2025, students of Dagestan State Medical University took part in an exciting event organized by activists of the Volunteer Center. Visiting the museum «Russia – my history», in particular its section «My Dagestan», became an immersion in the cultural heritage of the republic. This meeting was a highlight for all those who seek to learn more about the unique past and present of our region.

The main purpose of this event was to introduce students of Dagestan State Medical University to the history of their native land, foster a deep love for the motherland and provide detailed information about the life and lifestyle of their ancestors. The event was aimed at broadening the horizons of the participants, stimulating interest in the art and culture of our republic.

During the event, a profound quote from the great Rasul Gamzatov was heard: «Little Dagestan is a great world for us.» These words became the leitmotif of the entire meeting, emphasizing that it is through respect for the history, traditions and way of life of our small homeland that we realize its true value and uniqueness. National costumes of different nations, ancient tools of labor and creativity, specific accessories, as well as photographs depicting various episodes of history were presented. These materials allowed us to delve deeper into the unique flavor of Dagestan.

In conclusion, it is safe to say that this tour has become an important stage in the patriotic education of students. Awareness of Dagestan’s history as an integral part of Russia’s rich cultural heritage is valuable and necessary for everyone. Such a campaign enriches knowledge, allows you to feel the spirit of the republic, better understand your roots and preserve the memory of past centuries. Words of gratitude were addressed both to the organizers from the Volunteer Center of Dagestan State Medical University and to the museum staff. The participants noted that such meetings strengthen the sense of belonging to a great culture.
