Pediatric students listened to a lecture on «Terrorism Without Borders: We Say No to Extremism and Terrorism»

On November 13, as part of an educational initiative, the Dagestan State Medical University held an informative discussion with third-year students of the Faculty of Pediatrics on the topic «Terrorism Without Borders: Saying No to Extremism and Terrorism.»

The event was attended by A.G. Kachabekov, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work, Abdul Fataliev, People’s Hero of the Caucasus, participant of military operations in Afghanistan, Czechoslovakia, and the People’s Militia of Dagestan in 1999, A.K. Agalarhanov, Assistant Head of the Department of Security Services at DSMU, and A.M. Aigumov, a specialist in organizing and conducting youth events.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform students about the responsibility for participating in extremist activities, to show the dangers of extremism and terrorism, to form a negative attitude towards extremism and terrorism, to show the importance of respecting people regardless of their ethnic, cultural, or religious background, and to warn young people against getting involved in destructive activities.

The event served as an important platform for discussing the threats posed by international terrorism and effectively countering the spread of destructive ideas.

 During the meeting, participants learned about various forms of terrorism, its causes, and consequences. Special attention was paid to the role of young people in shaping a tolerant and safe society, as well as the importance of awareness and responsibility for the country’s future.

 This discussion aimed to raise students’ awareness and foster their civic responsibility, as well as strengthen interethnic and intercultural dialogue.

 The discussion was held in a confidential atmosphere, with 90 students participating.
