In connection with the measures taken in the region aimed at pre-empting threats of attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, on September 19, 2025, in the biological building, employees of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Management in the Republic of Dagestan conducted a practical lesson with students and university staff on the procedure for detecting unmanned aerial vehicles, and also, when receiving signals «Danger of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle» or «Missile danger!».

The meeting was opened by Vice-rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work of DSMU Kachabekov Amurbek Hasanbekovich, who on behalf of the university administration welcomed students, colleagues, guests and introduced the speakers to the participants of the event. In his welcoming speech, he stressed the importance of informing the population about the algorithm of actions when detecting unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as when receiving signals «Danger of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle» or «Missile danger!», given that recently quite often the population of the republic has been informed about the threat of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle, about this a new form of terrorist threat.

The guests of the meeting were: Ibragimov Islam Shikhakhmed oglu, Head of the Population Training Department of the Department of Civil Defense and Population Protection, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan; Gadzhiev Natig Taygunovich, 1st Deputy head of the UMTS of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Dagestan; Magomedov Artur Magomedovich, specialist in UMTS of the 1st category of civil Defense and Emergency Situations. The event was also attended by employees of DSMU: Abakarov Tagir Abakarovich — Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Agalarkhanov Artur Kazbekovich – Assistant Head of the Security Department; Aigumov Arsen Magomedovich – specialist of the department for work with students.

The format of the meeting was not only theoretical, but also practical: the participants were shown unmanned vehicles and explained how to act correctly in case of their appearance and how to protect themselves from them.

The lesson emphasized the importance of knowledge in the field of civil defense — the safety of every person depends on competent actions and vigilance.

The conversation also included questions on the topic: «Threats posed by the spread of ideas of terrorism and religious political extremism.»
