The Biological Building of the Dagestan State Medical University, as part of the Comprehensive Plan for Countering the Ideology of Terrorism in the Russian Federation for 2024-2028, approved by the President of the Russian Federation on December 30, 2023, No. Pr-2610, and the formation of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values among young people, as well as the rejection of the ideology of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism, and the resistance to their propaganda in the educational environment, held a meeting with students from the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Medical Prevention. The event was attended by the Rector’s Advisor, Hero of Russia M.M. Gimbatov, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work A.G. The purpose of the meeting was to inform students about the responsibility for participating in extremist activities, to show the dangers of such activities, to form a negative attitude towards extremism and terrorism, to emphasize the importance of respecting people regardless of their ethnic, cultural, or religious background, and to warn young people against engaging in destructive activities. The event served as an important platform for discussing the threats posed by international terrorism and effective measures to counter the spread of destructive ideas. The meeting allowed participants to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of terrorism, including its manifestations, causes, and consequences. A significant part of the discussion was devoted to the key role of young people in strengthening tolerance and security in society, as well as the need for every citizen to take responsibility for the fate of their country. The conversation was held in a confidential atmosphere. Approximately 300 students and staff members participated in the conversation.
