In Pyatigorsk, on the basis of Pyatigorsk State University, a seminar-meeting «Problems of prevention of destructive manifestations in the youth environment and mechanisms for their solution» was held, organized by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District.

The forum was opened by the head of the district police department, Police Colonel General Sergei Bachurin. The event was attended by representatives of state authorities, ministries of education and science, ethnic and youth affairs, sports, religious denominations and public associations of the North Caucasus Federal District.

During the discussion, the participants discussed the mechanisms for the prevention of offenses among adolescents, the role of state structures and religious organizations in the formation of spiritual and moral values, interaction to create a safe environment for youth and its socialization. Particular attention is paid to the issues of countering radicalization, drug trafficking and the involvement of minors in criminal activity.

Participants emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation and the development of comprehensive solutions to protect the younger generation.
