On Tuesday, January 13, a regular meeting of the University’s Academic Council was held in the administrative building of the Dagestan State Medical University. The meeting was opened and led by the Chairman of the Council, the Rector of the DSMU, Visampasha Khanaliyev. The meeting was also attended by Zumrud Buchayeva, the Chairman of the Dagestan Republican Organization of the Trade Union of Health Workers of the Russian Federation, who praised the leadership and staff of the DSMU for their contributions to providing assistance to participants in the special military operation and presented awards to distinguished representatives of the university. On the first issue, «Contest Cases,» Svetlana Mineeva, the secretary of the contest committee, presented the candidates who were elected to various positions at the university and were nominated for academic titles. V. Khanaliev then provided information about the approval of the admission rules at the Dagestan State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, in accordance with Order No. 821 of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated November 27, 2024, «On the Approval of the Procedure for Admission to Higher Education Programs: Bachelor’s, Specialist, and Master’s Programs.» He noted that, according to paragraph 34 of this order, the organization may establish that the form of entrance examinations based on secondary vocational education is the Unified State Exam, and may not conduct internal entrance examinations based on secondary vocational education. The rector proposed that the form of entrance examinations for applicants based on secondary vocational education in the relevant field be the results of the Unified State Exam. It was noted that internal entrance examinations would only be conducted for places within a separate quota, for places within a special quota, for foreign citizens, and for applicants based on higher education. The Academic Council supported this decision. On the third issue, «The Role of the Institute of Postgraduate Education in the System of Postgraduate Education for Physicians and Training of Highly Qualified Personnel», the Director of the Institute, Rafik Butaev, spoke. The activities of the trade union organization of DSMU were reported by its chairman, Ruslan Shakhbanov. In the «Miscellaneous» section, information was provided by the university administration and heads of structural units.
