ResQ detachment started training at the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan

On 3 March 2025, activists from the ResQ rescue squad at the Dagestan State Medical University began training in first aid skills at the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan.

During a master class organised for employees of the department, under the guidance of the squad’s captain Ramazan Magomedov, a detailed demonstration and discussion of the basic principles of first aid in various emergency situations was held. The participants learnt how to respond to such common injuries and conditions as fractures, bleeding, foreign bodies in the wound, and airway obstruction.

«Fractures, for example, can occur in the most unexpected situations and it is important to know how to properly fix the injured limb to minimise pain and prevent further injury. When it comes to a foreign body in a wound, it is important to know how to act correctly to avoid complications,» the medics said.

The attendees also learnt that airway obstruction is a situation that requires immediate action. The participants learnt about techniques such as the Heimlich technique, which can save lives in cases of asphyxiation.

It should be noted that the training will not be limited to one day. ResQ will hold several more days of training for the employees of the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, because helping, as it is commonly believed, is not a charitable deed that is worthy of praise. It is something that everyone should do.
