As part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for Countering the Ideology of Terrorism in the Russian Federation for 2024-2028 and the prevention of destructive phenomena among young people, a meeting was held on November 20 with students living in Dormitory No. 2 on the topic «Traditional Spiritual and Moral Values of Russian Society as the Basis for Countering the Ideology of Terrorism,» with the participation of a law enforcement officer.
The meeting was attended by A.G. Kachabekov, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work; A.K. Agalarhanov, Assistant Head of the Security Department; A.M. Ibragimov, Assistant Head of the Security Department and Member of the City Assembly of Makhachkala; S.R. Radjabova, Inspector for Juvenile Affairs and Detective Officer for the Soviet District; and A.M. Aigumov, Specialist of the Department for Work with Students.
In his opening remarks, Amurbek Gasanbekovich focused on the list of challenges facing our country in the context of the Special Military Operation conducted by Russia on the territory of Ukraine, emphasizing the use of terrorist methods by the Ukrainian political regime to influence our country by involving young people in sabotage and terrorist activities and organizing terrorist attacks against civilians and civilian transportation infrastructure. He also highlighted the role of traditional spiritual and moral values as a reliable foundation for countering the ideology of terrorism and the involvement of young people in sabotage and terrorist activities.
Amurbek Gasanbekovich also focused on issues related to students’ behavior on university grounds and in public places, emphasizing the importance of following certain etiquette and rules based on traditional values such as honesty, integrity, and responsibility, which contribute to building trust and respect among others. He stressed that ultimately, a student’s behavior plays a significant role in shaping the university’s image and the image of its graduates.
During the conversation, Assistant Head of the Security Department, A. K. Agalarhanov, drew the students’ attention to the need to strictly follow the internal regulations and the access control system established at the university for the sake of overall security. He informed the students about the consequences of non-compliance with the University Regulations and the access control requirements, emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the victims of terrorist attacks and the need for society to unite in countering this global challenge.
Sofia Ramazanovna, an employee of law enforcement agencies, informed the students about the methods of involving young people in destructive organizations and warned them against the dangers of spreading extremist ideology in any form, whether religious or political. The students were also reminded of the inevitability of punishment for participating in illegal activities.
At the end of the event, the students had the opportunity to ask questions.
The discussion was conducted in a positive and trusting atmosphere.
Approximately 120 students participated in the event.
