On June 18, the Alleya Resort Hotel hosted a scientific and practical conference «Modern trends in the development of diagnostics: an interdisciplinary dialogue», organized by Dagestan State Medical University in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan and the Republican Diagnostic Center. The event was held within the framework of the II interregional exhibition «Healthcare of Dagestan». The conference became a platform for the exchange of experience and professional development of diagnostic specialists from all over Dagestan. The speakers were leading experts in the field of ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopic, functional and laboratory diagnostics, representing both republican and federal medical centers.

The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev and representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan. During the event, the results of the development of laboratory and instrumental diagnostics in the region were presented, as well as topical issues and subtleties of using various diagnostic methods were considered. The doctors were told about modern approaches to the detection of complex pathologies of internal organs, malignant neoplasms, venous and arterial thrombosis, and new methods of MRI diagnostics.

Within the framework of the exhibition, there was a mobile health platform of the Republican Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention, where everyone could undergo a free examination and receive expert advice. The Dagestan branch of the Russian Red Cross conducted first aid training using simulation dummies, in which medical volunteers, volunteers of the Russian Red Cross and students of the Moscow State Medical University actively participated. Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev awarded one of the volunteers of the Russian Red Cross, residents of radiology, for his contribution to the training of the population in first aid skills. The Republican Center for Infectious Diseases conducted free testing for HIV and hepatitis.

The conference continued with sections on ultrasound, functional, endoscopic, and radiation diagnostics.
