On April 30, the international scientific and practical conference «Application of highly innovative technologies in preventive medicine» was held in the city of Andijan, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The delegation from DSMU includes Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Tagir Abakarov and Head of the International Department Raisat Kurbanova.

The guests of the international conference were solemnly welcomed to the sounds of national music, songs and dances. The event was opened by the rector of the Institute, Madamin Madazimov, who delivered a welcoming speech.

Congratulations were read out in honor of this event: on behalf of the region’s khakim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, his deputy K. Komilov spoke, and video greetings were sent to the conference participants by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Asilbek Khudoyarov and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungrotboy Sharipov.

Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Tagir Abakarov addressed the participants on behalf of the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev and read out the welcome address to the participants of the conference. Next, an order was read out on the decision to award the honorary title of Honorary Professor to the rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute, Madamin Madazimov, by the DSMU Scientific Council. In a solemn ceremony, the rector was presented with a mantle and a diploma of honorary professor. Next, the participants of the conference received a video greeting from the rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev. In turn, Madamin Muminovich cordially thanked Rector Visampasha Khanaliev, the university’s management, and members of the Academic council for their appreciation of his professional work, noting that cooperation with DSMU is one of their top priorities, and the dual degree program in Dentistry occupies the most worthy and exemplary place in international activities. He also noted that Andijan State Medical Institute and Dagestan State Medical University actively cooperate and interact in all types of university activities.

More than 10 reports from experts from the Russian Federation, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Turkey and China were heard at the plenary session of the international scientific and practical conference.

At the plenary session, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Tagir Abakarov presented a report on the topic «The use of therapeutic and prophylactic agents in the complex treatment of periodontal diseases.» After the plenary session, the work continued in five sections.

More than 120 reports were presented on the topics of preventive medicine, internal diseases, motherhood and childhood, surgery, dentistry, as well as biomedical sciences. The conference was held at a high scientific and practical level.
