The DSMU awarded certificates to high school students who studied additional general education programs at the university

In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Dagestan State Medical University launched an additional general education program called «One-Year Course of Additional General Education Programs,» which provided high school students with training in subjects such as chemistry and biology. On Tuesday, June 17, students who successfully completed the program were awarded certificates.

On behalf of the Rector of DSMU, Visampashi Khanaliev, the Vice-rector for Academic Affairs of DSMU, Elmira Akhmedova, greeted and congratulated the students. She noted that these are their first steps towards training in their chosen profession of a medical professional. «We are very pleased that you have completed training at our base, received additional knowledge that will allow you to successfully pass the Unified State Exam and enroll in a medical university. I wish you further success in your studies!» she said. It should be recalled that the DOP «One-year course of study in additional general education programs» is implemented at DSMU to form students’ purposeful professional orientation, sustained interest in improving the level of knowledge of general education disciplines; identification, development and support of talented students, as well as those who have shown outstanding abilities; professional orientation of students.
