On April 17, the final of the VI All-Russian Student Olympiad «HUMAN MATRIX» with international participation, dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, Cosmonautics Day and the 65th anniversary of the world’s first space flight Yu.A. Gagarin. Teams from the regions of Russia and neighboring countries came to Makhachkala to participate in the Olympiad: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tula, Stavropol, Orenburg, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Krasnodar, Saransk, Chita, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Yakutsk, Magas, Barnaul, Khabarovsk, as well as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.

The event was opened by a welcoming speech on behalf of the rector of DSMU Visampashi Khanaliev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elmira Akhmedova. She greeted everyone on Dagestan soil and wished good luck to all participants in the Olympiad. «They say the main thing is not victory, but participation. I will say, the main thing is the acquired experience, new acquaintances and communications. I wish you all a successful job,» she said.

Further, E. Akhmedova read out a welcoming address from the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Tatyana Semenova.

Also at the opening there were greetings from the head of the Department of Normal Physiology of DSMU Razin Ragimov, Honorary Professor of FSAEI HE RNIMU named after N.I. Pirogov of the Ministry of Health of Russia Viktor Smirnov, Ali Asadov, Deputy Director of the Department of State Policy in the Field of Scientific and Technological Development of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Rector of the Orenburg State Medical University Igor Miroshnichenko, Head of the Department of Normal Physiology of the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Academy I.P. Pavlova Ekaterina Lopatina and others.

Then the practical part of the Olympiad started, the first task of which was the presentation of the teams. Also on the first day of the Olympiad, participants passed such contests as: Physiology space (skills )/Physiotogy showspace; creative competition/ArtLand; captain of the year/Skipper # 1; квест / PhysioCrew.

Tomorrow, April 18, the Olympiad will continue with such contests as: «Peoples of Russia in one frame,» physiologists/Brain-ring; own game/Teamwork; say otherwise/PhysioAlias; digital physiology for physicians/smart physiology.

Also on April 18, the results of the Olympiad will be summed up and the winners and prize-winners will be awarded.

The third day — April 19 — will be devoted to acquaintance with the beauties of Dagestan: guests of the republic will go on a trip to the sights of the republic.
