On April 13, 2024 in the Scientific and Educational Innovation Center of Dagestan State Medical University a meeting of the Discussion Innovation Center «Aspect» was held. The event addressed topical issues of conservative therapy in urology. The event was organized by the Dagestan State Medical University and the Aspect Educational Discussion Club.

The conference was attended by urologists from almost all cities and districts of Dagestan, specialists from Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania, and the Chechen Republic.

Opening the conference, Rector of Dagestan State University Visampasha Khanaliev said: «Today urology is one of the most dynamically developing fields of medicine. While it belongs to the surgical branch of medicine, conservative methods of treatment are widely used in it». He added that urological diseases have many different approaches to treatment, so the conference to be held today will be a place to discuss all aspects of therapy for such diseases.

F.B. Fidarov, Chairman of the Urology Society of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and Prof. A.Z. Vinarov, President of ASPECT Association, made welcoming remarks to the participants of the meeting. They noted that the event is of great importance for popularization of advanced knowledge obtained by evidence-based medicine, professional improvement of doctors and the whole national urology.

The scientific part of the conference was moderated by Leonid Spivak, Professor of the Urology Department of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Chairman of the Aspect Association.

Scientific and educational reports on current issues of conservative urology were presented by: V.I. Rudenko, Professor of the Department of Urology, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University; L.G. Spivak, Professor of the Department of Urology, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University, Chairman of the Aspect Association; I.S. Palagin, Assistant of the Department of Urology, Smolensk State Medical University. Palagin; Professor of the Urology Department of the Sechenov First Moscow Medical University V.S. Saenko; Professor, Head of the Urology Department and Urology Department of the Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center B.V. Khanaliev; Head of the Urology Department of the Makhachkala City Clinical Hospital M.I. Katibov; Urologist andrologist, Head of the Andrology and Urology Department of the Scanfert Clinic R.I. Ovchinnikov.

The advisory discussion club functioned in the mode of live communication, the participants could address to the speakers with questions, to which they received answers.
