The meeting of the Society of Young Surgeons was held at DSMU

On Friday, December 9, the regular VIII meeting of the Dagestan Scientific and Medical Organization «Society of Young Surgeons» was held in the morphological building of Dagestan State Medical University.

  The meeting was attended by: Acting Vice-rector for Medical Work, Head of the Department of Endoscopic Surgery of the Faculty of Advanced Training  and Teaching Staff, scientific director of the Society of Young Surgeons Magomed Khamidov; Head of the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy Magomed Akhmadudinov, scientific director of the student scientific circle of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy Ilyas Kiblaev, as well as young surgeons working in surgical departments of the city, residents and postgraduates of DSMU. The leading doctor of the “Phleboss” clinic  Sabir Aidaev was invited as a guest.

During the meeting, two reports were listened to: «Varicose veins» from a 6th-year student of the pediatric faculty Magomed Bagaudinov and «Laser treatment of varicose veins» from a cardiovascular surgeon, record holder of Guinness Book of Records , surgeon of the Year according to the Russian Book of Records Sabir Aidaev.

After reading the reports, a discussion followed regarding the advantages and disadvantages of open surgery over non-invasive. Further, Sabir Aidayev held a master class on the topic «Demonstration of the operation of a laser light guide on a Biolitec device: endovenous laser obliteration».

It is worth noting that those present listened with enthusiasm and asked questions of interest to them, to which the speakers answered in detail.
