On November 12, 2025, an open discussion was held at the Biological Building of the Dagestan State Medical University as part of the «Dialogue on Equal Terms» project organized by the Volunteer Center. The meeting was graced by the presence of Amurbek Kachabekov, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work at the Dagestan State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health. He addressed the students, inspiring them and providing them with words of encouragement, followed by the valuable advice of an experienced resident on choosing a medical field.

The key speaker, the former head of the Volunteer Center, a neurology resident physician, Gunay Huseynova, shared her invaluable experience with her future colleagues. The discussion focused on the current issues of professional development. «Making an informed decision about your medical field is the first step towards a successful career,» she emphasized, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly studying your chosen specialty. Gunay shared insights into the realities of clinical practice, the challenges faced by young professionals, and how to effectively navigate them. Special attention was paid to how residency forms a true professional, and why it is important to be open to new things and not be afraid of challenges.
