Today, May 6, DSMU Rector Visampasha Khanaliev met with students from the Faculty of Pediatrics—members of the student research group of the Department of Pediatric Surgery—who won prizes at the relevant scientific event.

The meeting was prompted by the students’ successful performance at the 65th International («All-Union») Scientific Student Conference «Current Issues in Pediatric Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Resuscitation,» held April 23–25 in Omsk at Omsk State Medical University.

The meeting was also attended by Fatima Meylanova, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery; Madina Kurbanova, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Surgery; and the Dean of the Faculty of Pediatrics.

Visampasha Khanaliev congratulated the students on their outstanding results, noted the importance of participating in scientific and professional competitions, and wished them continued success in their studies, research, and future medical careers.

During the meeting, Fatima Meylanova, Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery, presented the rector with a letter of gratitude from the Russian Association of Pediatric Surgeons and the administration of Omsk State Medical University for preparing and organizing the participation of DSMU students in the conference.

The students, in turn, thanked the university administration for their support, attention, and the conditions created for professional growth.
