The rector of DSMU met with the delegation of the Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov

On Wednesday, September 10, Visampasha Khanaliev, Rector of Dagestan State Medical University, met with a delegation from the Kirov Military Medical Academy, consisting of Viktor Rev, Deputy Head of the Department of Military Field Surgery, and cadets of the Academy.

The guests arrived in Dagestan as part of the historical work carried out by the Kirov Military Medical Academy and as part of the celebration of the 215th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian scientist, surgeon N.I. Pirogov. The group plans to get acquainted with the main historical sites memorable for military medicine and located on the territory of the Republic of Dagestan: Gunib, S. Salta with the museum and obelisk of N.I. Pirogov, Kizilyurt with the museum of A. V. Vishnevsky, as well as to introduce young scientists to Dagestan State Medical University.

Opening the meeting, V. Khanaliev warmly welcomed the guests, noting that he was always happy to meet colleagues and students from medical universities. The rector told them the history of Dagestan State Medical University, and told them some little-known facts about N.I. Pirogov’s life and work in Dagestan.

The guests, in turn, thanked the university administration for the warm welcome and expressed hope for further cooperation.
