The regular meeting of the Academic Council was held at DSMU

The regular meeting of the Academic Council of Dagestan State Medical University was held on 25 March in the building of the administrative building of the university. The meeting was opened and conducted by the Chairman of the Council — Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev. It began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the terrorist act in Crocus City Hall on 22 March 2024.

Then the participants of the meeting moved on to the discussion of the agenda. Svetlana Mineeva, the secretary of the competition committee, informed the members of the council about the candidates elected to various positions at the university and presented to academic titles.

Abdulkamal Guseinov, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Digital Transformation, made a report «On the state of educational and methodical work and implementation of disciplines «Basics of Russian Statehood» and «History of Russia» in DSMU». In his speech he dwelt in detail on the nuances of implementation of the disciplines in DSMU, noting that many disciplines are taught, duplicating each other, including in different departments. He also informed that the university will audit the curricula of all faculties, they will be brought in compliance with the federal state educational standards.

Commenting on the Vice-Rector’s speech, V. Khanaliev noted that this work is for better organisation of the educational process at the university, training of highly professional specialists with medical and pharmaceutical education.

Then the deans of faculties Raisa Shakhsinova, Alimkhan Muskhadzhiev, Tagir Abakarov, Gadzhimurad Dalgatov and Gasbulla Barkaev reported on the results of the winter examination session. They also made a comparative analysis of the current interim attestation with the same period last year.

In the «Miscellaneous» section, information from the university management and heads of structural divisions was presented.
