The event was attended by DSMU professors who have dedicated their lives to medicine: Zaira Maksudova, Associate Professor of the Department of Eye Diseases at DSMU, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Honored Doctor of the Republic of Dagestan, Deputy Director of the Dagestan Center for Microsurgery of the Eye for Organizational, Methodological, and Clinical Expert Work; Lyudmila Bezverkhnyaya, a forensic medical expert of the highest certification category, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Forensic Medicine; and Sakinat Alkadarskaya, Assistant Dean for International Students, Head of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens, and Assistant Professor at the Department of Russian Language. The invited guests told the students about their path to medicine, shared their memories of their student years, their mentors who influenced the choice of the main directions in scientific research, and wished the young people excellent studies and active participation in the research work of the university’s student scientific circles. Sakinat Alkadarskaya spoke about the work of the preparatory department and introduced the foreign students who came from Cameroon, India, Syria, and Palestine, who prepared a musical and poetic program about women in their native languages. Many have dedicated their poems to their mothers.

The audience was shown a video presentation titled «Your Name is Woman!», prepared by the Department of Electronic Resources, as well as a book exhibition titled «Oh, Woman, You Are More Beautiful Than Any Other!», organized by the library staff. The exhibition featured books about women in Dagestan, scientific papers, monographs, and bibliographies of the works of our university’s female employees, as well as books from the «Great Artists» series featuring reproductions of paintings by renowned artists that depict women. The event was organized and conducted by an employee of the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology, senior lecturer Patimat Saidova and Dean of the Preparatory department Sakinat Alkadarskaya, as well as activists of the student sector of the primary Trade union organization of the cultural and Mass Department and the creative association Zvezda. The students read poems about women: students of the Faculty of Medicine Amina Abdulayeva and Salimat Kadyrova, Fatima Shahbasova (Faculty of Dentistry), and Marat Telekavov (Faculty of Pediatrics).
