On July 2, there was a graduation ceremony for graduates of the medical, preventive and pharmaceutical faculties at Dagestan State Medical University. The festive event took place in the assembly hall of the University’s Scientific and Educational Innovation Center.

The ceremony began with the performance of the anthems of the Russian Federation and the DSMU.

Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev addressed the graduates of both faculties with parting words, combining the importance of each profession in his greeting:

«Dear graduates of the medical, preventive and pharmaceutical faculties! Dear teachers, parents, and guests! Today is a significant day for Dagestan State Medical University. We are seeing off a new generation of specialists who are ready to guard the health of the nation. On behalf of the Rector’s office, the teaching staff and myself, I congratulate you on the successful completion of your studies! These years have been filled with hard work, sleepless nights, and difficult exams, but you have passed all the tests. Now the doors to the world of big medicine are open before you. You have chosen a noble and responsible profession, where your task is not only to treat, but also to prevent diseases, create a healthy environment and create conditions for a long and happy life for people. I am sure that the knowledge gained at our university will become a solid foundation for your professional career. Don’t stop there, constantly improve your skills, learn new technologies, and keep up to date with the latest achievements in medical science. Remember the oath of a doctor and a pharmacist, be merciful and compassionate.»

The Rector also expressed gratitude to the parents of the graduates and the teaching staff for their contribution to the development of young specialists.

This year, 58 graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Prevention, among 3 of whom graduated with honors, and 31 graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy, 6 of whom graduated with honors, joined the ranks of medical professionals.

The solemn atmosphere of the event was complemented by performances by activists of the DSMU Cultural Center Daniyal Shabanov and Samira Ramazanova with the song «My Dagestan», as well as the song «Student» in Tabasaran.

The event culminated with the adoption of the oath of the pharmacist of Russia and the oath of the doctor of Russia, symbolizing the graduates’ readiness for professional activity and service to society.

The guests who came to congratulate the graduates were M.M. Abdulaev, Chairman of the CEC Faculty of Pharmacy, Head of the State Agrarian University «Pharmacy Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan», M.G. Magomedov, Head of the Department of General Hygiene and Human Ecology, R.O. Osmanov, Head of the Department of Organization of Activities and Social and Hygienic Monitoring of the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Republic of Dagestan, Head of the academic department of the Department of Social Hygiene and Supervision.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prevention and Pharmacy, Head of the Department of Pharmacy Gasbulla Barkaev addressed the graduates with warm words of congratulations and wishes for success, noting that the acquired knowledge will become a reliable foundation for their careers, and the work will be beneficial and satisfying.
