The team of DSMU took the III place in the Republican contest of patriotic song ‘With a Song to Victory’

On 22-23 April, Makhachkala hosted the republican patriotic song contest ‘With a Song to Victory’ dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. This contest is organised with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan and is held annually. This year the festival-competition was organised among higher educational institutions.

Teams from Dagestan Medical State University, Dagestan State University, Dagestan State Pedagogical University, Dagestan State Technical University and Dagestan State University of National Economy took part in the event.

The team of DSMU was represented by the activists of the Culture Centre under the guidance of Director Natalia Zalieva: Daniyal Shabanov, Samira Ramazanova, Amina Lametova and Maryam Medzhidova.

In the first stage of the competition, the participants performed solo numbers. Thus, representatives of our university performed the following songs: Daniyal Shabanov — ‘May Waltz’, Samira Ramazanova — ‘So that there would be no more war’, Amina Lametova — ‘Scarlet Sunsets’, Maryam Medzhidova — ‘Ballad about Mother’.

According to the results of the first stage the team of DSMU scored 216 points and took the second place among the participants.
