The VII All-Russian Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Current Issues of Human Security in the Modern World» was held at the Dagestan State Medical University. The event was attended by students and young researchers from Russian universities, both in person and remotely.

The conference was opened by the chairmen of the organizing committee and representatives of university and departmental leadership.

On behalf of the Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliyev, the participants were welcomed by Amurbek Kachabekov, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social and Educational Work at DSMU, who noted that the conference was an important platform for the development of student science and the exchange of professional experience.

Patimat Rabadanova, Head of the Department of Life Safety and Disaster Medicine at DSMU, emphasized the importance of fostering a sustainable safety culture in the face of modern challenges.

Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical and Preventive Sciences at DSMU, Gasbulla Barkaev, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in the training of specialists in the fields of security and healthcare.

Shamil Shuaybov, State Inspector of the Republic of Dagestan for Fire Supervision at the Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Dagestan, presented current data on the fire situation in the region. In his speech, he provided detailed information on fire statistics, the number of victims and fatalities, as well as the dynamics of other emergencies.

The conference was also addressed by Sakinat Guseynova, Head of the Department of Life Safety at Dagestan State University, who outlined the areas of possible interuniversity cooperation in educational and scientific projects related to safety.

The conference program included student presentations on issues related to technological, medical, information, and social safety.

The practical part of the event was particularly interesting, as the student research group from the Department of Life Safety and Medical Care at Dagestan State Medical University conducted a workshop on providing first aid in the event of an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle. The participants were able to practice algorithms for action in non-standard conditions and improve their emergency response skills.

The conference was an important contribution to the development of student science and strengthening of interuniversity cooperation, and it also increased attention to safety issues as a key component of training future specialists.
