VI Intra-University Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology

On March 26, the VI intra-university Olympiad in Obstetrics and Gynecology was held at Maternity Hospital No. 2, bringing together students interested in advanced study of one of the key clinical disciplines. The event served as a platform for showcasing the professional knowledge, clinical thinking, and practical skills of future doctors. Five teams participated in the Olympiad: Ginekologini, Arbor Vitae, Plod Vozmozheniya, Ginekologicheskiy Spetsnaz, and Vtoroe Serdtse. The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, a creative approach, and the ability to work in conditions that were close to real clinical practice. The Olympiad program included six competitive stages, each of which was aimed at evaluating different competencies: – a video presentation of the teams, where the participants introduced themselves and demonstrated their team spirit; – a blitz quiz that assessed the level of theoretical knowledge; – solving situational problems in obstetrics and gynecology that required clinical thinking; – identification of medications, which is especially important for developing an effective approach to pharmacotherapy; – analysis of video tasks based on real clinical cases;

As a result of the intense and competitive struggle, the prize-winning places were distributed as follows: 1st place — «The Fruit of Imagination» 2nd place — «The Second Heart» 3rd place — «Arbor Vitae» The Olympiad contributes to the development of students’ professional competencies, the formation of clinical thinking, and the increase of interest in the specialty. Such events play an important role in the training of future specialists and strengthening their confidence in their chosen profession.
