A video conference of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian on the organization of measures in educational organizations in the conditions of a pandemic took place on Friday, January 14.  Acting Rector of DSMU Visampasha Khanaliev, Acting Minister of Health of the Republic of Dagestan Tatyana Belyaeva, Acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of DSMU Jamila Omarova, Acting Vice-Rector for Medical Work Magomed Khamidov took part in this meeting.

 Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation   Oleg Gridnev spoke about the epidemic situation in the Russian Federation during a video conference noting that there is an increase in the incidence of the omicron strain in Russia, which is highly contagious compared to other strains. The report provided data on morbidity in the regions of Russia, as well as measures taken to avoid the spread of the virus.

Separately, the participation of medical university students in the fight against the pandemic was noted.  The deputy minister assured that the omicron strain is characterized by high contagiousness and a mild course of the disease, the main blow will fall on the outpatient service. In this regard, he spoke about the need to attract medical students to work in call centers to collect anamnesis of patients, process calls to patients, etc. It was also noted about the need to attract students from other universities to volunteer activities.

The report «On the organization of measures to strengthen the medical service by educational organizations» was made by Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Tatyana Semenova. She also drew the attention of the heads of medical universities to involve medical students in the fight against the pandemic and the organization of joint universities and regional ministries of health.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dmitry Afanasye  spoke about the organization of the educational process in educational organizations, taking into account the epidemiological situation. Anna Pronina, Head of the Department of Personnel, Prevention of Corruption and Other Offenses and Administrative Work of Rospotrebnadzor, made a report «On the interaction of Rospotrebnadzor bodies and organizations with medical and preventive faculties».
