On January 28, the Head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, held a meeting of the Council for Science and Education. They discussed issues relevant to this field, including the development concept until 2030, the training of personnel for the economy, the implementation of the main events for the Decade of Science and Technology, and the development of the project «My Dagestan. The Land I Live In.» Turning to the agenda, the Head of the Region recalled that at the meeting of the State Council of Russia, the President emphasized the fundamental importance of personnel issues for the country’s development. As a result of the meeting, a list of instructions was approved to create a unified system for training personnel. The main objectives are to link education with the labor market, digitalization and transparency, continuity, career guidance from an early age, employer responsibility, and Russia’s scientific and technological development. Earlier, the republic signed the first cooperation agreement with the Russian Science Foundation and received financial support. Dagestan scientists submitted 72 applications for participation in the regional competitions of the Russian Science Foundation, of which 16 projects received support – 25 million rubles each from the republic and the foundation. An important part of the implementation of the State Council’s instructions is the federal project «Professionalism». Over the year, the number of participants in the program from Dagestan has increased by 2.5 times. A working group has been established in the republic to implement the instructions of the State Council. The regional minister of education, Yakhya Buchaev, presented a report on the development of education. Nusret Omarov, the representative of the Head of Dagestan in the People’s Assembly of Dagestan, spoke about the training of personnel in accordance with the development of Dagestan. He also mentioned the unique project for children to study their small homeland, «My Dagestan.» The region in which I live,» said Konstantin Derevyanko, Chairman of the Scientific and Educational Union for the Development of Language and Information Culture «Rodnoe Slovo», Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council for the Implementation of state policy in the field of support for the Russian language and the languages of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. The council meeting ended with the presentation of state awards to distinguished workers in the field.
