First, the applicant must send a passport and a certificate with grades in chemistry and biology by e-mail: dgma_mo@mail.ru and get the university’s consent to accept him for study. Invitations to enter the Russian Federation are issued only for applicants recommended by the admissions committee for admission. After receiving an invitation from the university, you must contact the Embassy or Consulate of the Russian Federation in your country to apply for an entry study visa to Makhachkala.

In the 2026/27 academic year, admission is conducted only for extra-budgetary places (under an agreement on the provision of paid educational services). The training is conducted full-time.

Foreign citizens who have entered the Russian Federation are subject to mandatory state fingerprint registration, photographing, and medical examination. To legally reside in the Russian Federation, foreign citizens are required to have supporting documents. Foreign citizens who have arrived in the Russian Federation for a period of more than 90 days for the purpose of study (students) must complete these procedures within 90 calendar days from the date of entry. All foreign citizens coming to the Russian Federation to study must obtain a medical insurance policy.

Please note that upon entry into the Russian Federation, you are required to obtain and fill out a migration card form confirming the right to temporary stay in the country. Please remember that foreign citizens temporarily staying in the Russian Federation are required to notify the international department within three working days from the date of arrival at the place of stay and issue a notification of arrival at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Dagestan, i.e. register. Foreign citizens who have successfully completed their studies in the specialty educational program and have successfully passed the final certification receive a diploma of graduation from DSMU.

 Foreign citizens should inform the International Department in advance about the date and time of arrival in Makhachkala, and upon arrival, come to the University’s passport and visa service with the following documents within the first working day:

• passport;
• Notarized translation of the passport;
• Certificate of secondary education; NEET for applicants from India;
• Notarized translation of the Certificate of secondary education;
• migration card (issued at the border);
• a medical certificate certifying that the student has no medical contraindications for studying and staying in the Russian Federation, with an examination period of no more than 3 months, as well as a certificate of vaccinations;
• notarized translation of the medical certificate, as well as the vaccination certificate;
• 6 photos (3×4 cm).
